Important Notes: Ryerson's School of Social Work strives to ensure equity, diversity and inclusion in the student body and aims to respond to community needs.
Applicants can include this information on the Supplementary Form and/or on a Special Consideration Form available on the Applications and Related Forms page.
Applicants will be selected based on post-secondary academic performance and employment in the social services field. You will receive an Acknowledgement email that will include your Ryerson Student Number.
Your Ryerson Student Number must be clearly printed on all non-academic materials you submit.
While it is possible to complete all coursework online, some social work degree requirements, such as field or clinical experience, need to be completed in person.
Students in a distance learning Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work program coordinate with their advisors to find a local institution that is approved for their internship or field experience.
The admission committee provides opportunity for special consideration for those applicants who wish to have their application reviewed in this light.
Applicants may provide details regarding experiences that should be viewed within the lens of equity, diversity and inclusion.
